About
Mendel Singer used to write country music and pitch tunes on Music Row in Nashville, TN. After a long detour to do medical research, he is back with original, spiritually motivated music. Some of it distinctly Jewish, most of it the universal experiences of a person struggling to grow and find his own unique spiritual voice.
Kosher Symbol Blues, his debut album has 11 original songs plus a cover of the Carlebach classic “Return Again”. The powerful English lyrics and strong melodies are front and center, backed by a simple production with only a few instruments. No drum tracks or synthesizers here. From tears to laughter, from introspection to observation, this album is an emotional and intellectual experience with a touch of humor.

Many rumors have been swirling about the source of the virus, and if in fact there is something more nefarious at work here. Dr. Mendel Singer, Associate Professor of Public Health at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine commented.
“There are rumors that the virus was planted by al-Qaeda to terrorize Christians all over the world. Al-Qaeda would probably feel secure that Santa would not be visiting in their neighborhood. Another rumor blames the Jews, a time honored tradition. The reason usually given is that they resent holiday sales often taking place after Chanukah or on Saturdays. Personally, I would be more partial to the theory that this is all an attempt to divert attention away from the brewing scandal over Rudolph. Male reindeer shed their antlers in November. Thus the reindeer claiming to be Rudolph is likely a female imposter.”
Mrs. Claus was contacted, but refused comment.
